A central part of the Danish American Heritage Society mission is organizing scholarly conferences that showcase the many ways in which Danish and American culture have shaped each other.
The DAHS has sponsored four past conferences, in Des Moines (2013), Minneapolis (2009), Des Moines (2005), and Omaha (2002).
The DAHS is now planning a fifth conference to be held near Chicago, Illinois from October 5-7, 2017. This conference will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the DAHS.
